UGL Unicco Contract Extended, Expanded at Carleton University

UGL Unicco, a subsidiary of UGL Limited, today announced the renewal of its contract with Carleton University. The new five-year agreement expands the previous facilities services management contract to include custodial services, residence housekeeping services, subcontractor management, as well as operations and maintenance.

UGL Unicco’s 150 employees clean and maintain 4,000,000 sq. ft. in all 45 buildings on the Rideau River campus supporting 23,000 full-time students and a faculty/staff of 2,300. Under the contract, UGL Unicco is also responsible for full maintenance at the Ice House, the cornerstone of the Carleton Athletics Recreation Centre, as well as ice resurfacing for the double pad arena. The company has also been contracted to service two new buildings currently under construction that are due for completion in 2011.
